Who are we?
The Space Association of Australia Incorporated is a non-profit, non-political group of people who are keen to learn about, and share with others, the excitement of space exploration.
We aim to promote the peaceful exploration, utilisation and occupation of Outer Space.
The Space Association provides a forum for people who are interested in or involved with all fields of space research, exploration and utilisation.
Membership is open to all who share our aims. Why don't you become a member of the Space Association of Australia?
What do we do?
The Space Association holds monthly meetings every month except January see our schedule
Members are sent a two page Space Association Newsletter before each meeting, with notice of what's on at the meeting and other interesting space news. An e-mail distribution list has aslo been established for those with Internet access.
The Space Association presents a weekly radio program - The Space Show - on Southern FM in Melbourne. You can listen in from 7.05pm to 8.00pm every Wednesday night on 88.3 MHz for space and astronomy news, interviews, commentary and other features.
What else?
The Space Association organises special exhibitions, displays and lectures from time to time. We also arrange for members to visit aerospace facilities and other interesting places not normally seen by the general public. Social activities such as film nights and barbeques are also held throughout the year.
